UK BANGLA REPORTERS UNITY NEW Ec COMMITTEE 2024 FORMED
News desk :UK Bangla Reporters Unity has formed a new Executive committee 2024 of 15 members. The Daily Star’s UK correspondent, Ansar Ahmed Ullah, was elected president. Jubair Ahmed, the UK Correspondent of the DBC news tv, has become the General Secretary.
The newly formed Executive Committee of UK Bangla Reporters Unity was announced at a ceremony at the Micro Business Center in East London on Sunday (March 3) afternoon.
Outgoing president of Daily Uttarpurba and daily Triteomatra UK Correspondent, veteran journalist Matiar Chowdhury and Associate Editor of UK Bangla Guardian magazine. The guests were first welcomed under the direction of Shajidur Rahman.
Later, in the first part of the program, the secretary and treasurer presented the report for 2023.
Later in the event, S K M Ashraful Huda, Contributing Reporter at Jagannathpur Times, was Honoured the Best Reporter of the Year Crest for Best Investigative Report in 2023.
There are 15 members of UK Bangla Reporters Unity in the new committee; the President is Ansar Ahmed Ullah, the UK representative of Daily Star and the Senior Vice president is the Associate Editor of UK Bangla Guardian magazine Shajidur Rahman, Vice President Biswabanglanews24 Chairman Saheda R. Rahman, Vice President 26 Television CEO Jamal Ahmad Khan.
General Secretary elected: DBC news tv Channel UK Correspondent Journalist Jubair Ahmed, Assistant General Secretary UKBangla Guardian Managing Editor Mohammad Saleh Ahmed, Assistant General Secretary Azizul Ambia, Assistant Editor of Ajker Sylhet, Treasurer Jagannathpur Times Contributing Reporter S K M Ashraful Huda, Assistant Treasurer Mirza Abul Kasem of bangla SylhetMirror, Organizing and Training Secretary Abdul Bashir Bisshobanglanews24 , Media and IT Secretary Aminul Haque Manchester correspondent of News24 and ATN Bangla UK, Event and Facility Secretary A Rahman Oli of Habiganj Express.
The EC members are Daily Uttorpurbo & Triteomatra UK Correspondent Matiar Chowdhury, Dhaka Post UK Correspondent & banglamirrornews.com Special Correspondent Muhammed Shahed Rahman, and Cinebaaz Times Sunahar Ali.

In addition to making the organizational activities and development of Reporters Unity more dynamic, awarding the UKBRU Media Award to talented journalists in Billet this year as well, training, meetings, seminars, organizational tours, UKBRU scholarships/educational development support projects for themselves and reporters will play a wider role in the development of the British Bangladeshi community.
Among the honored guests present at the inauguration ceremony – Honorable Lord Mayor of Cardiff Council of Britain Dr. Bablin Malik, Chair and First Citizen of Newham Council Rahima Rahman, Camden City Mayor Councilor Najma Rahman, Honorable Member of UK Bangla Reporters Unity and Bangladesh High Commission London Minister (Press) Ashequn Nabi Chowdhury and Founder President of UK Bangla Reporters Unity & UK Correspondent of Dhaka Post Muhammed Shaheed Rahman.
