UK weather forecast: Thunderstorms bring end to scorching hot weather with washout weekend ahead

Bangla sanglap desk:Heavy thunderstorms that yesterday swept the UK have brought a dramatic end to the heatwave, with rain set to continue in the London and the south east.

Forecasters have warned of further showers on Saturday as this week’s soaring temperatures will cool to 23C.

The south east will become largely dry with sunny spells by this afternoon, the Met Office said, but will feel much less hot than recent days.Temperatures have plummeted after heavy thunderstorms brought downpours, hail and strong winds to parts of the UK on Friday.It marked the end of the UK heatwave as weather warnings were issued by the Met Office.
