British Bangladeshi Misbah receives first ‘African Day’ award in London

For the first time, a Bangladeshi-origin individual, Misbah B. S. Chowdhury, has been honored with the Global Humanity Award at the prestigious Global African Day Awards ceremony. The event took place on Sunday evening at the five-star Hilton Hotel in London in an elegant yet humble gathering.
Mr. Chowdhury received this recognition for his significant contributions to the promotion of education across various African nations. He was awarded under the Global Humanity Award category, alongside eight other distinguished global figures from around the world.

In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Misbah Chowdhury said:
“I believe working for the expansion of education is not charity—it is a moral obligation we all share. That belief has driven my long-standing efforts to promote education not just in the Sylhet region of Bangladesh but also across several African countries. This recognition on African Day is a great honor and will further inspire me to continue this mission.”
Mr. Chowdhury is a noted philanthropist, Founder President of the MASC Foundation, Trustee at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation, and a Global Trade Strategist.
Despite his Bangladeshi roots, he has been working tirelessly for more than 15 years in many African, Asian countries, focusing on poverty alleviation, education, and cultural development. Hailing from Sylhet, Bangladesh, he is widely recognized as a distinguished global humanitarian committed to the welfare of humanity.
